Who is Katja Rosin?
Katja Rosin is an inhabitant of planet Earth. She was born at a time and place where she didn’t have to worry about her food and sleeping place, not even for a day. The inhabitants of the earth at that time had a great willingness to destroy. A famous band sang “The winner takes it all”. Katja loved music and the stage. The computer was invented. Today, Katja is an adult woman, actor, voice actor, theater educator, mother and a dreamer. The other things mentioned before haven’t changed. „It’s all just a little bit of history repeating“ (Shirley Bassey)
Leipzig! You are so wonderful!?
Because you remind me of Berlin as it used to be. Not everything was better in the past, No No No, but less crowded. And I only like crowds in the theater and at parties. Back to you, Leipzig: you are simply a beautiful cosmopolitan and cozy city, all rolled into one.
Who are you when nobody’s watching?
I’m a bitch, I’m a lover
I’m a child, I’m a mother
I’m a sinner, I’m a saint
I do not feel ashamed
(Shelly Peiken, Meredith Brooks)
How often do you Google yourself?
Never ever! :-))))))
Is acting about being someone different? Or is it about finding yourself in what is apparently different?
It’s both. Understanding and the devotion to the character and what’s happening to them is essential. In the end, you surely need to find yourself in the universe of the role and be something like a passionate lover. I do it to experience more than one life.
I think the closest you can come to knowing what it’s like to be another person is by getting a different hairstyle? (Joe Pera Talks With You)
When acting, it’s extremely helpful if you approach the character through styling and a distance from your own private figure. I love wigs! Hair(style) makes a gigantic change while you are still the same person. It’s a kind of magic. But to really getting to know a person, you have to take time to evaluate their story, listen and actually learn to understand why they act in this way here and now. Many people find it incredibly difficult to listen, you have to take a step back, and that doesn’t seem to be very pronounced in human nature.
Perfume is about our bodies talking to each other without words? (The Assassination Of Gianni Versace)
How often do bodies talk to each other in everyday life in Germany? Just as often as I find a good perfume. People either don’t smell or they smell intrusively. This is the real problem with the average age of the audience in theaters! Perfume is clearly overrated, but on rare occasions it can be very sexy.
Nobody loves you when you’re down and out, nobody sees you when you’re on cloud nine? (John Lennon)
One more thing: nothing is as old as yesterday’s success. Yes, that’s pretty hard sometimes. But you have friends for that. And on cloud seven (so it is said here) I always have the lucky ones from cloud nine who pour prosecco from above.
You are half living your life between reality and fantasy at all times?
Yes, I find it easier to handle life then. You can look at everything from at least two sides. I may be doing this too much.
Marlene Dietrich or Romy Schneider?
Both! Dietrich is a style icon to this day and she had courage! But I can relate more to Romy Schneider so far. She is the more tragic figure and I could spend hours looking at photos of her.
James Bond or Jon Snow?
Definitely James Bond.
Just like a pie is only as good as its crust, a marriage is only as good as its trust? (Ozark)
Oh, I love wise sayings. I even have a personal collection somewhere (honestly!)… One moment… “You should feel comfortable in relationships. That’s all it’s about” (Thomas Meyer)
If “Nevermind” by Nirvana isn’t your favorite rock album of all time, why isn’t it?
There was a time when I loved the album, but it didn’t have the potential to be my favorite album of all time, although I have a clear penchant for melancholy in music. Today I do need more funk and jazz in life. But speaking of favorite albums through time, “Random Access Memories” by Daft Punk is surely one of mine.
Have you ever been saved by the bell?
No, but condemned to hell.
Would you rather be you, with your face and your legs, and the brain of a chimpanzee, or would you rather be a chimpanzee, but with your brain? (Extras)
Chimpanzee with my brain is completely absurd – I can hardly cope with myself and my brain at times. … So, I would love to be me with a chimpanzee brain. Just considering the new possibilities in facial expression! Let’s operate tomorrow.
I bet you know at least one little girl who’d rather tumble off a horse than fall for a boy?!?
Indeed. Her name is Elze.
And as a reminder, this is the final question. To the best of your memory, what is or was the color of your mother’s eyes? (Severance)
Green with a hint of grey. Beautiful.
